Information & Hotels

The conference will be held on the campus of Loyola Marymount University in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles, just north of LAX International Airport. Paper presentations will take place in University Hall, which is located on LMU Drive at Lincoln Boulevard, at the west end of the campus. Please consult the campus map for the exact location of University Hall.

Getting to Loyola Marymount University from LAX International Airport:
​A taxi from LAX Airport to Loyola Marymount University costs about $20. Taxi or ride service is the only convenient way of getting directly from the airport to the LMU campus. The Custom Hotel, which is the official conference hotel, operates a free shuttle between the hotel and LAX Airport. The hotel is located on Lincoln Boulevard near the intersection of Manchester Boulevard, about 1 mile south of University Hall.


We recommend that you book your accommodations EARLY as this is a very busy time in this city and rates will only increase the closer we get to our event.

Custom Hotel

The official hotel for the conference is the Custom Hotel, located on Lincoln Boulevard about 1 mile from University Hall. This is the only hotel within convenient walking distance of the campus. For those who do not wish to walk, morning and evening transportation between the hotel and the campus will be available. The rate for conference participants is $129 per night and is available for stays between June 11 and June 18. The Custom operates a free shuttle between LAX International Airport and the hotel. Lincoln Boulevard between the Custom Hotel and University Hall is dotted with a variety of restaurants. Hotel amenities include:

We recommend AirB@B and other similar engines like or for more affordable rates than the ones available directly from the hotel links. All of these hotels are some distance from the Loyola Marymount campus. You would have to arrange your own transportation to and from the conference, by extended walk, taxi, or ride service.
